An analyst is a professional whose job is to analyze the market using available tools, methods, or techniques based on fundamentals and technicals.

Often Analysts are grouped into 2 categories, Fundamental Analyst and Technical Analyst.

Technical Analysts pay attention to the chart, indicators, and patterns to look for a buy or sell opportunity or to guide and predict where the price is heading. Some of the tools that are used are generic and proprietary tools. Generic and widely used technical tools are as Ichimoku cloud, moving averages, stochastic, MACD, RSI.

Fundamental Analyst relies on the fundamental aspects of an economy that have a great impact on the economy. This fundamental information is released by a particular body of a government. Fundamental Analysts make use of that information to make some predictions of the economy and to stay on the top of the market.
