    The European Central Bank (ECB) is the central bank for the European Union, currently made up of 20 member countries. The ECB establishes the monetary policy for those Eurozone countries who use the Euro currency. The ECB works to stabilize the currency’s valuation through various economic events in an effort to maintain the currency’s purchasing capability.
