Momentum

Momentum measures the speed or velocity of price changes in an asset. As a technical analysis tool, momentum is considered an oscillator that helps traders to identify trends and volume of a market. High values for momentum indicate a large number of traders are buying or selling the asset to push the price in either direction. Therefore, a momentum value that is extremely high or low may indicate that the asset is overbought or oversold.
